STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) Prime Minister Arayik Haroutyunyan met, in Geneva, with a group of representatives from the Swiss Armenian community.

The NKR Government informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the PM spoke about Artsakh’s process of nation-building and economic development, and highly appreciated the respective role played by the Armenian diaspora.

“We bear the mission of guaranteeing the bright future of the homeland,” said Haroutyunyan. “The ensuring of a stable and long-term security, which is impossible to achieve without economic and demographic development, is a key issue on this road.

“Therefore, I call on all Armenians to actively participate in the economic development of Artsakh, thus ensuring the secure and prosperous progress of the homeland. The [Armenian] diaspora has great potential from that perspective, and we expect a growth in diaspora investments, being ready to create as favorable conditions as possible for their effectiveness.”

At the end of the talk, the NKR PM responded to the questions posed by those in attendance, and urged them to become more actively involved in developing the homeland.
