Tokhtar Tuleshov, a businessman in Shimkent, attempted to destabilize the government of Kazakhstan, announced the spokesman of the National Security Committee Ruslan Karasev. The Businessman was arrested on 30 January in Shimkent during police operations. He is the owner of Shimkentpivo  LLC.

"Mr. Tuleshov previously carried out preparatory works , whereas in the  last year he actively took certain steps to seize power by force . The action plan he set out aimed to destabilize the situation in the country by creating  tense  hearths, organizing mass protests and riots. He planned to create a so-called alternative government and change the structure of power , " said Karasev during a briefing in Astana.

According to him it was  Tokhtar Tuleshov who organized and financed the protests against land reforms.
