Serge Avetikian has a drama (Parajanov’s scandal), two documentary films, an infinite number of short films to his name. Now Avetikyan started shooting a comedy. Patrick Chene as always with a great inspiration is acting in the film "The one they’ve waited for”, reports The French Francetvinfo.

The actor Jean -Paul Bolzek goes to Azerbaijan to perform in a play for one of the French companies. On the way from the airport his car engine fails, and he is stalled in the middle of the road. He does not realize how he crosses the border and finds himself in one of the villages of Armenia. Soon, he realizes that people take him for someone else.

The translator of the police (the role plays Arsine Khanjian,  Atom Egoyan's wife) tells her about the national myth . After 1915 the Armenians who fled and became French are waited in each village as prodigal sons.

The misunderstanding between the European from a town and Asians of the village gives rise to colorful but not trivial scenes and jokes. They demonstrate how the West is perceived in the third world – a power able to solve all the problems. The illusion, which Avetikyan undoubtedly romanticizes in his character.
