After the German Bundestag’s passing of the resolution that recognizes Armenian Genocide, the Turkish entrepreneurs in Germany are concerned by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s respective reaction against Germany.

The Turks who are doing business in Germany are troubled, since they will suffer the most from the deterioration in Turkish-German relations as a result of this resolution, reported Ulusal Kanal website of Turkey.  

They do not wish for these relations to be disrupted after this move by Germany, so that the Turkish businessmen, who have made investments and created businesses in Germany, are not expelled from the country.

It is noted that 82,400 Turks have their own businesses in Germany, their investments amount to €11 billion, and their annual turnover reaches €115 billion.

On June 2, the Bundestag, the lower house of the German parliament, formally recognized the Armenian Genocide, with the aforesaid resolution and with only one vote against and one abstention. The resolution also notes that the Bundestag regrets that the German government at the time did nothing to stop this crime against humanity, and therefore the Bundestag also acknowledges the respective historical accountability of Germany.
