YEREVAN. – František Masopust, Executive Director of the Chamber of Trade and Industry for CIS Countries (CIS Chamber) of the Czech Republic, is hopeful that Czech Airlines will soon resume its flights to Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia. He told this to reporters during Wednesday’s Armenian-Czech business forum in Yerevan.
Masopust, however, noted that this matter is not within their domain, and the matter is that Czech Airlines is not large and it has its limitations. But he expressed the hope that there will be a change on this matter this summer.
Garegin Melkonyan, the First Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia, likewise expressed the hope that Czech Airlines will resume flights to Yerevan.
“There is full readiness of the Armenian side,” said Melkonyan. “The matter here is the calculations of the business processes of Czech Airlines. We hope to hear one day that Czech Airlines has resumed flights to Yerevan.”
Czech Airlines had stopped its flights to the capital city of Armenia in October 2014.
