Barack Obama said that during the upcoming presidential election in November his main task is to remind voters that being the U.S. President is a serious job, not a reality show, BBC Russian Service reported.

Thus, he clearly hinted on television career of Donald Trump, who secured a chance to become the presidential candidate of the Republican Party. As Obama said in an interview to NBC, Trump as president will harm the entire country.

In the same interview, Obama for the first time commented on the inner-party elections of Democrats. A day before it Hillary Clinton sealed her victory over senator from the State of Vermont Bernie Sanders.

The president added that he hoped that they would get together within the next weeks. During primaries, it often happens that people become very sensitive.

Obama expressed his hope that Sanders will admit his defeat soon – the move that will restore the unity of the Democratic Party.

It became clear on Wednesday that Clinton won a sufficient number of votes of delegates to become the first woman in the history to be nominated by a large party for the U.S. presidency. Clinton called her victory a milestone for all women, and noted that it was a victory of generations.

Her main rival Bernie Sanders refused to concede the defeat, citing the fact that the final primaries of democrats will take place in Washington only next week.
