YEREVAN. –Czech Republic President Miloš Zeman consistently expresses support for the recognition of Armenian Genocide.

Shavarsh Kocharyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, told the aforementioned to reporters, after Thursday’s Cabinet meeting, and commenting on Zeman’s state visit to Armenia.

In Kocharyan’s words, the Czech president had stated even earlier that he favors genocide recognition, and he calls on the Czech government to do the same.

“But, now, he has already announced that steps are being taken in this direction,” added the Armenian deputy FM. “Time will tell.”
