YEREVAN. - The international lenders of Armenia don’t require the republic to collect more taxes to pay the loans faster, Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) Vakhtang Mirumyan said in the parliament Thursday, introducing the new draft Tax Code.

Any state is first of all interested in collecting more taxes to expand the opportunities of providing community services, he said.  

According to Mirumyan, the international organizations can advise, but not press or oblige. Accepting those proposals or not is the issue and domestic policy of each country, the Deputy Chairman added.
