A former prime minister of Peru, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, won the second round of the presidential election, reports the Reuters. At this moment, almost 100 percent of votes is calculated. Kuczynski received 50.12 percent of votes, whereas his rival Keiko Fukhimori only 49.88 percent.

Ollanta Humala, the outgoing president of Chili, and the presidents of Argentina and Columbia congratulated Kuczynski with his victory. The presidential candidates Kuczynski and Fukhimori pledged to continue the policy of free market economy.

It is noted, that Kuczynski is more liberal on social issues. He promised to ensure the flow of investments into the developing infrastructure of the country.
