The ringleader of the terrorist organization Al Qaeda Ayman az Zawahiri has sworn loyalty to the new leader of Taliban movement Haibatullah Akhundzada, reports Gazeta with a reference to Reuters.

It is noted that according to az Zawahiri, the audio authenticity has not been confirmed.

Earlier, the Pakistani Interior Ministry stated that a DNA analysis confirmed the death the previous leader of Taliban Akhtar Mansoor.  After that, in Baglan, a province in Afganistan, more than 500 militants swore loyalty to the new leader,  Haibatullah Akhundzada.
