The Canadian army teach how to fight against the terrorist group Islamic State by means of board games, reported CBC News.

A collection of matrix game ISIS Crisis, designed by request of the government , includes the Iraqi and Syrian maps, markers, and cards , which introduce the tasks of the game. The game is designed for the officers who have no knowledge of military planning. It develops a non-standard way of thinking and allows to tackle the task in the most unexpected way.

At one of the presentations, the participants were suggested to play the role of the IP, or other parties, including the Kurds , human rights organizations , the media, the International Criminal Court.
