President of Bolivia Evo Morales was released from hospital after a knee surgery, The Washington Тimes reported.

Morales injured his knee during indoor football match in Viacha. The surgery lasted more than three hours and came to the end with restoration of the function of the torn ligaments, as well as with removal of about 5% of the damaged meniscus.

Doctors gave two days on recovery of knee, and the president will be forced to use crutches within two-four weeks.

Doctor Gastón Cornejo who was treating Morales stated that the Bolivian leader will be able to play soccer in six months.

It was reported earlier that Evo Morales should undergo physical therapy within eight months for complete recovery.
