MOSCOW. - The Chairman of the Board of Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Tigran Sargsyan, and President of American Chamber of Commerce in Russia, Alexis Rodzianko, met Monday, EEC press-service reports,

At the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for the further cooperation between the U.S. business community and the EEC.

Tigran Sargsyan stressed that the EEC is willing to build institutional cooperation both with the U.S. business community and the state authorities responsible for the trade and economic cooperation.

He also underscored the openness of the Commission for the foreign partners.  “The dialogue with the EEC is necessary. According to the best international practice, we are establishing an economic zone. Our cooperation is useful in building a normal dialogue,” Sargsyan said.

He proposed to start cooperating with the U.S. governmental and business institutions in the technical areas, specifically developing the dialogue in the area of technical regulation.

For his part, Alexis Rodzianko noted that he also exerts efforts towards taking this thesis to the political and economic establishment of the U.S.
