Polish Defense Minister Anthony Macherevich again spoke about threats which Russia allegedly poses for the West.
Macherevich said the fact that not everyone understands the difference between Russia and the western countries leads to the systematic, repeated errors in the strategy towards Moscow.
According to the Polish politician, the expansion of NATO's presence on the eastern flank of the alliance and the upcoming summit in Warsaw at the beginning of July is a historic step for the development of NATO and changing of its architecture.
The defense minister had repeatedly been in the spotlight because of his anti-Russian statements. At the beginning of June he reported that one battalion of the alliance is able to constrain Russia.
Amid disagreements with Russia on the Ukrainian issue, the NATO states agreed about expansion of military activity in Europe. In particular, it is about deployment of four battalions along east boundaries of NATO — in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland, RIA Novosti reported.
