The Nagorno Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) Minister of Foreign Affairs, Karen Mirzoyan, on Thursday commenced his working visit to Denmark.

Within the framework of his trip, the NKR FM met with Danish political circles, during which the interlocutors reflected on the present-day situation with respect to the peace process in the Karabakh-Azerbaijani conflict. Also, they exchanged views on regional security.

On the same day, FM Mirzoyan attended a reception, which the Embassy of Armenia in Denmark had organized, in connection with the 25th anniversary of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. The event brought together diplomats, political and public figures, analysts, journalists, and members of the Armenian community of Denmark.

In his welcoming and opening remarks, Hrachya Aghajanyan, the Ambassador of Armenia to Denmark, noted that the independence of Artsakh is anchored in the Armenians’ clear aspiration to achieve freedom, lead their lives without repression, and preserve their centuries of culture and identity.

Karen Mirzoyan, for his part, presented the “road” which NKR has traveled, and noted that the accomplishments of Artsakh would have been impossible without the ongoing assistance by Armenia and the Armenians worldwide.

He expressed a conviction that NKR will become a full member of the civilized world, sooner or later.

The Artsakh FM also urged to work toward the vision of a peaceful and stable South Caucasus.
