Welcoming the guests, NA Speaker Ashot Ghoulian underscored the importance of similar discussions, considering them useful, the MFA representatives told Armenian News – NEWS.am.   He also thanked the Permanent Representative of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) Albert Andryan for organizing that visit.

In his opening speech, Mr Satanovsky, who is also a lecturer of Middle East region geopolitics and economics at the Institute of Asian and African Studies of Moscow State University, touched on the current geopolitical situation, drawing parallels with the global and regional changes which took place during the last century.

Thereafter the MPs asked the expert questions on the developments in the Middle East region, position of the superpowers on the Karabakh issue, developments in the international relations and principles applied in the process of conflict resolution, etc.

By the end of the meeting, the NA Speaker thanked Yevgeny Satanovsky for visiting Artsakh and sharing with his interesting ideas.
