Residents of Rome are indignant with behavior of three tourists who got into a fountain of the 17th century, Gazeta reported quoting The Local. Unknown girls chose fountain Aqua Paola for bathing.

As the edition notes, it can seem like a good way to escape from the summer heat of Rome, but bathing in fountains threatens with a penalty up to € 200.

Tourists in bathing suits were photographed by one of the “shocked” passersby, then pictures appeared on Twitter. As noted in the social networks, the weather is really hot, but the fountain Aqua Paola cannot be converted into a swimming pool for tourists. According to users, Rome deserves more respect.

The fountain of Aqua Paola is dated 1612.  Famous landmarks can be seen in Paolo Sorrentino’s film The Great Beauty.
