YEREVAN. - A rally in support of Sasna Tsrer group has kicked off in Yerevan’s Liberty Square despite the heavy rain.
The number of the rally participants is incomparably small, Armenian News - NEWS.am correspondent reports. The rally is led by film director Tigran Khzmalyan.
In his speech, Khzmalyan accused the authorities headed by Serzh Sargsyan, as well as Russia for its colonial policy. According to him, Sasna Tsrer members are the PoWs of Russia.
Khzmalyan’s speech angered several protestors. A woman from among the crowd began shouting. Khzmalyan responded:“ Miss, go away and drink water!”, “I hope you’ll be paid for your speech,” “KGB agent”.
Thereafter, the film director continued his speech, but this time several people began scanning “Go away!, in response to which Khzmalyan called them “slaves” and refused to continue his speech.
Political activist Ani Navasardyan is now delivering a speech.
