On Sunday, August 7 the Belgian police arrested in Liege a man who was walking in the street with a machete.

The police received an alarming phone call and surrounded the area to arrest the suspicious man early in the morning. According to the law enforcement sources, the arrested man has a Turkish origin. He has not caught sight of the police previously, reports the DW.

The Belgian police stations strengthened the security measures after August 6, in Charleroi a 33 -year-old Algerian with a machete attacked two female police officers, shouting " Allah Akbar ". The attacker was shot dead by another police who was in the vicinity. Authorities are calling the attack as a terrorist act . The responsibility was assumed by the terrorist group "Islamic state".
