YEREVAN. - The Turks would better keep silent on Karabakh and not interfere with that issue at all, political analyst and Orientalist Karine Gevorgyan told Armenian News -  NEWS.am.

Referring to the possible engagement of Ankara in the Karabakh settlement process, the political analyst noted: “Yes, they might secretly cry with the Azeris about the loss of Karabakh. This may be done, I understand: they sympathize each other as kin peoples.    But if Turkey comes up with handing Karabakh, even the most primitive Armenian must get up and say that Turkey is a big country, a NATO member, and thus let it serve an example and hand Northern Cyprus, withdrawing its troops from there.”

In Gevorgyan’s words, the Turks actually also understand that they would better not interfere with the Karabakh settlement process. “They don’t want that. But Azerbaijan gets very much offended and asserts claims,” she added.
