U.S. is carrying out an economic war against Venezuela using prices of oil not alowing the economy of the South American country to recover from crisis, Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro stated, TASS reported.

According to him, the U.S. has a plan aimed to prevent improvement of a situation in the financial sector of the South American republic.

A part of Washington's plan is minimization of the activities of American companies in Venezuela and manipulation of oil prices in the world market, Maduro noted. He also added that the U.S. is attracting Venezuela opposition to participate in the economic war.
