A protest in support for the Sasna Tsrer armed group, which took over a police station but later surrendered in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan in July, was staged Sunday in the densely Armenian-populated City of Glendale, in the US State of California.

Several hundred Armenians, who were holding the photos of the Sasna Tsrer members as well as banners and signs, picketed outside the Consulate General of Armenia in Los Angeles.

They demanded the release of political prisoners in Armenia and the resignation of President Serzh Sargsyan, and expressed support for the people of Armenia.

Local KTLA and ABC7 television stations covered this event.
