The ashes of the American playwright Truman Capote will go to auction, reports the BBC Russian Service. The starting price is 2 thousand dollars. The head of Julien's auction house Darren Julien says that the sale of Capote’s relics may seem disrespectful .

 “But this is a fact: Truman Capote loved the element of shock. He loved publicity. And I’m sure he’s looking down laughing, and saying, ‘That’s something I would have done,” aid Julien. The ashes of the writer were owned by his girlfriend, Joanne Carson , at the house of whom he passed away in 1984 . Carson died in 2015 , leaving no heirs , as a result all her properties went for auction . The auction will be held on September 23. Truman Capote  is  the author of  Breakfast at Tiffany's  and In Cold Blood.
