On August 25 the President of Finland Sauli Niinistö fired the Finnish ambassador to Sweden due to suspicions over his " inappropriate behavior," reported the local television station Yle. " The Finnish Ambassador Jarmo Viinanen is called back to Finland. The decision is made by the President Sauli Niinistö upon the recommendation of the State Council , " reads the statement.

As the RIA Novosti reports, Viinanen is suspected of performing inappropriate behavior towards his subordinates. Earlier, the channel informed that one of the employees of the diplomatic representation complained of harassment committed by the ambassador. The ambassador refused to comment on the president's decision and , according to some sources , denied all the allegations.
