Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry had a phone conversation on Thursday to discuss prospects of cooperation between Moscow and Washington for fight against terrorists in Syria, RIA Novosti reported quoting Russian Foreign Ministry.
MFA’s statement says that the focus was on the situation in Syria, including the prospects for Russian-U.S. cooperation in the fight against entrenched terrorist groups there. Lavrov again drew attention to the need of the fastest separation of the Syrian opposition groups connected with the U.S. from the terrorists who continue active offensive actions and atrocities in the occupied territories.
