German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s rating  to its lowest point since 2011.

Only 45% of respondents positively assessed the activity of the head of the German government, The Local reported quoting results of the ARD-Deutschlandtrend survey conducted by the sociological institute Infratest dimap.

Similar results allowed Merkel to take only the sixth place in popularity rating of the German politicians. At the same time the majority of respondents, 51%, oppose the new, fourth term of Merkel on the German chancellor's post. The similar scenario was assessed positively by 46% of respondents only.

According to the research, the most popular German politician is the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, he has 73% of support of respondents. The second is Federal Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble with 65% of support.
