Turkey has agreed to continue the implementation of the EU agreement on migrants. Both sides agreed to continue work on the issue of liberalization of visa regime for Turkish citizens, European Union's top diplomat Federica Mogherini stated.

In turn, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said that Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will travel to Strasbourg next week to discuss a possible role for the European Council in preparing post-coup prosecutions, Reuters reported.

He noted that Germany supported Turkey after the coup attempt, but recognized that statements of Germany did not meet expectations of Ankara.
