The countries of the G20 have confirmed the obligations for abandoning competitive devaluation of national currencies, suggests the communiqué following the results of the G20 summit, RIA Novosti reported.

The document says that they confirmed their previous obligations on exchange rates, including refusal of competitive devaluation and policy on targeting of exchange rates in order to increase competitiveness.

G20 countries have also agreed to carefully verify and to inform clearly about the measures of macroeconomic and structural policy to reduce the uncertainty associated with them, to minimize the negative side effects and improve transparency.
