Рussian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry discussed cooperation mechanisms between the countries, in order to eliminate terrorists on Syrian territory during their meeting on the margins of G20 summit in Hangzhou, Russian Foreign Ministry stated.

“The discussion continued on cooperation mechanisms between our countries, in order to eliminate terrorists on Syrian territory; this should help develop a political solution to the conflict in Syria, which has lasted for many years,” Sputnik News reported quoting the statement.

The Ministry said that other urgent international problems, including the conflicts in Ukraine and in Yemen, a situation in the Israeli-Palestinian settlement, situation on the Korean peninsula, and also some aspects of the bilateral relations were considered.
