The chairmen of the Investigative Committees of Belarus, Russia and Armenia on Friday signed a statement on the need to intensify the interagency cooperation in Minsk, RIA Novosti reports.

The signed document mentioned the negative consequences resulted by the crimes,  especially in the area of organizaed crime, corruption and drug traficking.

The joint statement stressed that despite the close cooperation, there are significant reserves for intensifying the interganency cooperation.

The chairmen of the Investigative Committees stated about their decision to activate the joint actions aimed at increasing the operation efficiency of addressing the requests to provide assistinance in criminal cases.

Apart from this, the chairmen noted that the establishment of the Council of Invstigative Committee Chairmen will serve the interests of CIS member-states and significantly contribute to the fight against criminality.
