The Defense Ministries of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia have been awarded the grand prix of the Army 2016 forum.

Leading defense companies working at the forum also received awards from the First Defense Minister of Russia Ruslan Tsalikov, RIA Novosti reports.

Among the awardees are Voentorg JSC, Almaz NGO and Uralvagonzavod. Apart from this, Rosoboronexport, Vertolyoti Rossii, as well as VTB bank have been awarded for contributing to the preparation and organization of the forum. Roskosmos has received Innovation development award.

Over half million people attended the international military and technical forum Army 2016, which was held for already the second year on end in the congress and exhibition center of Patriot park, Alabino firing range and Kubinka airdrome near Moscow on September 6-11.  

Moreover, this was the first time such a forum was held on the platforms located in Western, Southern, Central and Eastern military districts and the Northern fleet.
