YEREVAN. – Acting Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian on Wednesday received Chinese Ambassador Tian Erlong.

First, Nalbandian thanked for the important assistance which the government of China has rendered toward providing technical equipment to the new building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

During the respective ceremony, Nalbandian noted that this assistance is another evidence of the warm and friendly relations between the two countries. Also, he handed to the ambassador a letter of thanks to Wang Yi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China.

Ambassador Tian, for his part, stressed that China attaches great importance to the strengthening of relations with Armenia, and stands ready to continue assisting in the development of its friendship country.

At the ensuing talk, the parties recorded the close friendly cooperation between the two countries. Furthermore, they discussed the course of implementation of the agreements reached between the leaders of Armenia and China.

Nalbandian underscored the Chinese ambassador’s continuous personal efforts toward making Armenian-Chinese cooperation grow deeper.

Acting FM Edward Nalbandian and Ambassador Tian Erlong also reflected on the need to organize high-level mutual visits between Armenia and China.
