Germany's representations in Turkey have been closed because of signals received about planned terrorist attacks on the German Foreign Ministry, reports the RIA Novosti, citing the Süddeutsche Zeitung. The German Consulate in Istanbul wrote in its official web site that it is closed on the occasion of Kurban Bayramy Holiday (Feast of Sacrifice) from September 12-15.  However, Germans will not be working until the end of the week. According to the source, the information about threats is being checked at the moment. It is not known yet, who is behind the threats.

Most of the employees of the German representations in Turkey are currently on vacation. Germany closed its representations and schools in March as well, when Germany German’s Foreign Minister Frank Steinmeier announced about signals of planned terrorist attacks by the Islamic State.
