Swedish court upheld an arrest warrant for the founder of the site WikiLeaks Julian Assange on Friday.

Assange, who denies the rape accusation, “is still detained in absentia”, the court said, and it “shares the assessment of the [lower] district court that Julian Assange is still suspected on probable cause of rape … and that there is a risk that he will evade legal proceedings or a penalty”,  The Guardian reported.

Meanwhile, WikiLeaks tweeted that Assange would agree to surrender to U.S. authorities if President Barack Obama commuted his informant Chelsea Manning (Bradley Manning - prior to hormonal therapy on gender change). She has been sentenced to 35 years of imprisonment for passing secret information of the Pentagon and State Department.
