Russian Embassy in Kiev sent a note of protest to Ukrainian MFA after an attack on the building of the diplomatic mission, RIA Novosti reported.

The embassy said that due to the night attack on Russian Embassy in Kiev, they sent a note of protest demanding to investigate the incident and ensure the safety of the Russian diplomatic mission.

Earlier, Russian embassy in Kiev confirmed the fact of the attack on the building of the Russian diplomatic mission on Friday night.

The ministry said that an unknown group threw a smoke grenade on the embassy territory and applied salutes installations.
