New York authorities are searching for 28 -year-old man in connection with the bomb explosion in Manhattan . The FBI reports that the US citizen of an Afghan origin Ahmad Khan Rahami is wanted for questioning . The recent address of the suspect is Elizabeth town in New Jersey , reports the Voice of America.

The FBI and New York police are searching for suspects and checking the connection between the explosion and the device discovered nearby.  The second device, which was discovered shortly after the launch of the first explosive was made with a pressure-cooker connected to the cell phone. The police managed to safely remove the device and carry out a controlled explosion .

According to the evaluation of the Director of the Transnational Threats Project under the Washington Center for Strategic and International Studies Tom Sanderson there is a 50 percent possibility of the involvement of  jihadists in the explosion. At the same time, he believes that in the city like New York with such a diverse population, someone else could have placed the explosive device, including a white supremacist.
