The German lawyer Michael-Hubertus von Sprenger, who presents the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the case against the German comedian, announced that that his client will appeal the prosecutor's decision to drop the investigation, reports the TASS. 

Yesterday, The prosecutors’ office of Mainz dropped the criminal case against comedian Jan Boehmermann, who on March 31 read a poem that “insulted” the Turkish President. Erdogan personally submitted the case. German prosecutors, however, ruled that there was no criminal element in the poem.
