The Turkish Ambassador to Germany has returned to Berlin, AP reports, citing the German Foreign Office.

At the meeting with the Turkish Ambassador Hüseyin Avni Karslıoğlu, the Secretary of State to the German Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Markus Ederer, noted that his return is “an important and positive step” in the context of bilateral ties.

The Turkish Ambassador was recalled to Turkey after the Bundestag voted for acknowledging the Armenian Genocide.
