35 thousand terrorists were destroyed in Syria from February 27 to September 1, announced the Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov, reports the RIA Novosti.
"In accordance with one of the points of February 22 joint statement the attacks on IS and Jabhat Al-Nusra militants were expected to continue. As a result, 586 settlements and 12 thousand 360 sq / km area was liberated, about 35 thousand terrorists were destroyed, including 2 thousand people from Russia and the CIS, " he said.
