Russia is ready to restore contacts on the missile defense issue both with the U.S. and NATO, first deputy head of the main operations department of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff Viktor Poznikhir said.

According to him, the Russian side is ready to resume contacts on condition that the goal will be reaching agreements that take into account the interests of each side to the fullest extent, TASS reported.

Russian Defense Ministry is looking for cooperation on this issue with any party if its purpose is to make the world a little bit freer from misunderstandings and threats, he added.
