Egypt and the EU have signed six grant agreements worth 150 million U.S. dollars in support of socio-economic development of Egypt, Xinhua reported quoting MENA agency.

The agreements which have been signed by International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr and Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiation Johannes Hahn are directed to implementation of renewable energy projects, removal of economic and household wastewater.

Sahar Nasr said in his statement that one of the agreements is related to the creation of a wind farm in the Gulf of Suez for wider use of clean energy in the country.
