Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has dismissed claims that his country is interfering in the U.S. presidential election as “ridiculous”, CNN reported.

“It's flattering, of course, to get this kind of attention -- for a regional power, as President Obama called us some time ago. Now everybody in the United States is saying that it is Russia which is running the U.S. presidential debate,” Lavrov said.

The Foreign Minister also said that Washington has provided no evidence, no facts in favor of the fact that Moscow really interfered with pre-election process.

Last week the U.S government officially accused Russia of cyber attacks against the Democratic Party servers.
