Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he decided not to visit Paris on October 19 because the French side made it clear that this was no time for a visit.

At the same time the Russian leader admitted that he had very good relations with the French colleague François Hollande, TASS reported.

Russian president presented the course of events saying that actually they even did not cancel the visit, the French side just made it clear that this is not the time officially to open Russian cultural center and to talk about all these humanitarian subjects. It was necessary to postpone these actions somehow.

According to him, nothing has changed in relations with France and with the French people, and especially with French investors.

Russian President added that he has very good personal relations with President Hollande and he hoped that they could overcome all the current difficulties.
