On October 13, clowns armed with knives threatened a Swedish resident in Skänninge, reports the Corren. The woman reported to the police that two people, who were wearing clown garments, were following her. They threatened her, waiving their knives. 

In recent days, there have been registered several similar incidents in Sweden. The intention of people in clowns’ garments to frighten people started in the United States, then reached the Scandinavian peninsula. In the US, people in clowns’ garments tried to persuade children to follow them to the forest. After that case, such calls were registered in 20 US states. Finally, the trend moved from the US to the UK.
