YEREVAN. - Armenian Premier Karen Karapetyan on Thursday received the delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply of Brazil, Eumar Novacki.

Karapetyan welcomed Mr Novacki’s visit to Armenia, expressing hope that it will contribute to the further development and expansion of the Armenian-Brazilian economic ties.

The Premier underscored the importance of deepening the ties between the two countries, as well as exchanging experience and implementing joint programs in the sphere of agriculture, which will be promoted by the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the sphere of agriculture signed between the Agriculture Ministries of both countries in August.

Karapetyan stressed that the sphere of agriculture is of great significance for the Government and in the future the executive will propose new mechanisms aimed at its development. “We are open to cooperation and ready for the implementation of joint investment programs as well as inflow of Brazilian capital to Armenia,” the Premier noted.

For his part, Eumar Novacki noted that Brazil is interested in implementing investment programs with Armenia, as well as increasing the volumes of bilateral commercial turnover.
