British police arrested a 23-year-old man, who is not an MP, over an alleged rape in an MP’s parliamentary office, Mirror reported.

It’s claimed the alleged attacker had been drinking with friends on the House of Lords’ terrace on Thursday night.  Then they allegedly went to a Parliamentary office in a nearby building, where the attack took place.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Detectives from the Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command are investigating an allegation of rape at the Houses of Parliament in the early hours of Friday, 14 October.”

A House of Commons spokesman said: “We are aware of an incident on the parliamentary estate which is being investigated by the Metropolitan Police Service.”
