YEREVAN. – After ending his hunger strike, the health condition of opposition Founding Parliament initiative member Garo Yegnukian—who is under arrest on charges of aiding the Sasna Tsrer armed group—has regulated, his attorney, Tigran Hayrapetyan, on Saturday told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

To remind, Sasna Tsrer had taken over a police patrol regiment building in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, taken hostages, but later surrendered, in July.

Hayrapetyan noted that Yegnukian’s appeal against the investigator’s decision regarding a ban on his conjugal visits was heard in court on Friday, but the respective hearing was adjourned until November 8.

The attorney added, however, that the investigator has decided to partially commute the aforesaid decision, and to permit Garo Yegnukian to get conjugal visits from his mother and teenage daughter.

Yegnukian is both an Armenian and a US citizen.
