STEPANAKERT. – The adversary violated the ceasefire along the line of contact between the Karabakh and Azerbaijani opposing forces around 90 times, from late Tuesday night to early Wednesday morning.

During this time the Azerbaijani armed forces fired about 1,900 shots toward the Armenian position-holders, and by way of various caliber small arms and sniper rifles, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) Defense Army informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Aside from small arms, however, the adversary also fired from a mortar, in the direction of the Martakert defense positions.

But the NKR Defense Army vanguard units primarily refrained from responding to these provocative actions by the Azerbaijani side, and took retaliatory actions solely when absolutely necessary.
