German Interior minister Thomas de Maizière said Turkish leader’s accusations of supporting terrorism are “absurd”.

The German official said the purpose of the accusations is to present Turkey as a victim and provoke solidarity of the Turks who are opposing the upcoming referendum, RIA Novosti reported.

He urged German politicians and society not to react to new provocations, calling them “an internal matter of Turkey”.
