YEREVAN. - The annual Armenian-Italian military and political consultations took place in the Defense Ministry of Armenia on Wednesday.

They were presided by the Head of the Defense Policy Department of the Armenian Defense Ministry, Levon Ayvazyan, and Deputy Head of Planning and Policy of the General Staff of Italian Armed Forces, Rear Admiral Roberto Chia Marcella.

During the consultations the results of the work carried out in 2016 were recapped, the press-service of the Defense Ministry informed Armenian News – NEWS.am.

The effective implementation of a number of programs in the sphere of peacekeeping activities and military education was noted and the program of further actions was discussed.

By the end of the consultations, a cooperation plan for 2017 was signed.
